What should I use as bootable floppy? Nothing. You don't want to burn this image file to disc on its own ISO-9660 filesystem. You want to tell the CD-R creation software that you're creating a CD-R from an image file. There should be an option somewhere to do that -- "create CD-R from image file," "burn ISO image

I do have a CD-RW on my desktop, but have a question about burning an ISO. I have to use Windows (obviously) as I don't have Linux on my system yet. I use Adaptec Easy CD Creator v4.0; if I simply download the ISO and use Easy CD Creator to burn the image onto a CD-R disk, will that be good enough?

I use them on a limited basis from time to time with Linux. I say limited basis, because in linux, it is nowhere near as easy to do as it is with OSX. Using this method, I can also burn ISO images that I download from the internet. Why not simply drop the files you want onto the CD via packet writing software?

It is a file [along with a cue file] that will burn an ISO CD-R. Fireburner is the program I use with bin/cue files to burn ISO CDs. How to burn ISO files
I have downloaded a file and want to burn it to disk. I understand I can't just use the Windows XP burner but need something that can burn ISO images? Has anyone got any experience of using Pinnacle to do this? I can't find any mention of ISO images in the software menus or help facilities. If so, what do I do?
