All of the cdburners that I am aware of have the ability to burn iso's. I went through one time and listed where the capability was found on the Windows It even points you to mkisofs, which is used to make the iso image. I need to do some writing. One part that I found to be lite was what an iso image was.

You need too look for something »burn iso-image« or »burn image-file«. The .iso is a file, which should be burned 1:1 on the disc. Sorry, I can't give you further advise, since I don't use KDE and don't know how to burn an iso image there, but you might be interessted to read

It's only the images originiating from Sun which will not properly burn via Nero. Use of the ".iso" suffix to designate "image" files is purely a de facto convention, not an ISO Standard. The ".iso" image files supported by various cd writer programs have absolutely nothing to do with official ISO Standards.

ISO files
Important: you have to be careful with it, because unless you use the right CD-burning software with it it won't burn it as an ISO disk, but just as a standard Mac HFS disk, So while the basic version of Toast 3 will do it nicely, Toast 4 won't. Toast 5 will, but you may have to use the Deluxe version.
